After obtaining Drawing approval, erection work shall be executed strictly as per the approved drawings and upon completion, a completion report from the Licensed Electrical contractor in the prescribed form along with requisite inspection fee (Click Here to see Inspection Fee Shedule) paid details (challon / receipt) and calibration reports, site test results, equipment manufacturer testing reports, etc. shall be sent to the jurisdictional officer of the Electrical Inspectorate for inspection.

At the time of inspection a responsible representative of the consumer, Electrical supervisor and a representative of the contractor should be present with their licence, permit and testing instruments. The defects pointed out during the inspection should be rectified in order to bring the installation in general conformity with the Central Electricity Authority(Measures relating to Safety & Electric Supply) Regulation 2010, and a rectification report signed by the consumer, and contractor should be sent to the jurisdictional officer of the Electrical Inspectorate. After verification of the compliance report by the inspecting officer safety approval will be granted under Rule 32, 36 & 43 or any other relevant rule of the Central Electricity Authority(Measures relating to Safety & Electric Supply) Regulation 2010 respectively.
